SPECIAL EVENTS:
· Pro-Junior Challenge will be played Monday July 31 at Castle Pines Golf
Club with a scheduled 7:30 a.m. tee off. PGA Tour Pros like Mark Wiebe, Gary
Hallberg and Clarence Rose will team up with 32 youths from a field of 80
candidates picked on a basis of academics, citizenship and commitment to golf
excellence. Castle Pines Teaching Pro Don Hurter is tournament director.
· Youth Day, featuring a clinic for kids, and Golf4Fun clinic for the
physically disabled, will be held Aug. 1 at 1 p.m. Admission is free for all
kids 15 and under accompanied by a ticket-bearing adult. Kids will get
drinks, lunch and a gift.

144 contestants play first 36 holes, using INTERNATIONAL (Modified
Stableford) System, accumulating points. Field reduced Friday and Saturday.
Round 1 Thursday: All 144 contestants play.
Round 2 Friday: 144 contestants play, 72 players plus ties, accumulating
points for 36 holes advance to third round.
Round 3 Saturday: 72 players plus ties carry points from Rounds 1 and 2;top
36 pointmakers, plus ties, advance to Sunday's final round.
Round 4 Sunday: 36 advancing players plus ties carry points to finals.
