SHORT TAKES Fiddle-De-Dee. If the neighbors around Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre think they have it bad, consider the poor concert-goer. No food or beverage-not even a container of water-can be brought in. And to ensure the rule is obeyed, security-types pat you down and poke through your backpacks and purses. Seems they want you to buy their concessions-if you can get a loan. A couple of burgers and beers will run you about $15. You might want to stay home altogether if the sky looks threatening because umbrellas aren't allowed either. The Fiddler's folks view bumpershoots as potential weapons. Guess you should count your blessings that the main attraction plays for just one hour... "Up the Creek" - June 17,1988 *** Comsumer Tip: Eat before you come to the show....these people do serve food but for too much and not enough..hence the note above... All Concerts are subject to change. Morrison undertook a "Champagne March" to the Red Rocks. There, Judge Luther of Mt. Morrison delivered the christening address which ended on this note: "We the assembled citizens of Bear Creek and vicinity, hereby christen thee the "GARDEN OF THE ANGELS" and accursed be he or they that changeth thy name".
