EXCALIBUR'S "TOURNAMENT OF KINGS" DINNER SHOW
TAKES AUDIENCE TO KING ARTHUR'S COURT
book on-line
MGM - Mirage

In the era of castles and gallant knights, kings would gather the nobility for fanciful feasts and tournaments of valor in celebration of important events. Those days still exist inside Excalibur during the award-winning, "Tournament of Kings" jousting dinner show.

One of Las Vegas' last dinner shows, "Tournament of Kings" transports the audience to King Arthur's court to help celebrate the return of his son, Christopher. The traditional showroom is transformed into King Arthur's Arena, a 900-seat circular theater with an earthen floor.

As the story unfolds, the joyous Arthur gathers the rulers of Europe for a fantastic banquet and competition. The kings challenge their knightly skills while riding their faithful steeds. King Arthur's hospitality is met with hostility when the evil fire-wizard Mordred invades the festivities. The kings of Europe must unite if the fire-wizard is to be defeated.

The production show has a sizable cast of 44 actors and musicians, 38 horses and an audience of 900. "Audience participation is an integral part of the show," says director Phil Shelburne. "They will be singing, cheering and up on their feet."

The late Peter Jackson along with his son Patrick Jackson created the original concept of the show. The show is now produced by Patrick Jackson. Emmy-nominated French designer Michel Fresnay created the stunning, authentic costumes that harken back to the days of Camelot.

The original score, composed by Scot Rammer, pulls the audience further into the show. Stunning visual effects, such as the pyrotechnics of the fire-wizard, heighten the audience experience.

The "Tournament of Kings" dinner show runs Wednesday - Monday at 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.; dark Tuesday. Tickets are $49.95 plus tax and fees. Tickets can be purchased up to 30 days in advance by calling (702) 597-7600.

MENOPAUSE THE MUSICAL® AT LAS VEGAS HILTON
IN THIRD YEAR
Menopause On The Net

Menopause The Musical®, which debuted at the Las Vegas Hilton on February 1, 2006 after playing in forty cities and six countries, continues into its third year by playing to sold out audiences nightly.

The Las Vegas production became an immediate hit in its debut and soon introduced an additional cast to handle increased demand for shows.

Inspired by a hot flash and a bottle of wine, Writer/Producer Jeanie Linders created the show as a celebration of women who are on the brink of, in the middle of, or have survived "The Change." Since its first performance, the show has evolved as a "grassroots" movement of women who deal with life after 40 and all the challenges that result in the mental, physical and spiritual freedom of the post-World War II baby boomer generation.

"Menopause The Musical® is an integral part of the entertainment here at the Las Vegas Hilton," said Ken Ciancimino, executive vice president of the classic resort. "The show transcends gender, touching on something profoundly human and making it entertaining."

The debut of Menopause The Musical® in 2006 added to the first-class entertainment schedule at the Hilton, led by superstar Barry Manilow. The expanded roster complemented the resort's transformation through a $100 million construction and renovation project.

Showtimes for Menopause The Musical® in the Las Vegas Hilton's Shimmer Cabaret are Mon. & Tues., Thurs. & Fri. 7:00 p.m., Wed. 2:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m., Sat. & Sun 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $49.50 (plus tax and service charge) and can be purchased at the Las Vegas Hilton box office or calling 702-732-5755 or 1-800-222-5361. For group sales, call 702-884-1222.
