The Three Musketeers will engage in swashbuckling swordplay and daring duels as the Colorado Renaissance Festival kicks off its 26th season on June 8th to the theme of All for Fun...Fun for AlL. Located on a 350-acre wooded site in Larkspur,Colorado, the Festival will open its realm for eight weekends through July 28th to many new acts, including To The Hilt - a Gypsy duo combining the art of swordplay and comedy; The Naughty Nymphs- a bawdy singing trio performing in The Pirate’s Pub; The Bringers- bringing music from all lands to the shire; London Broil- a talented trio with a unique blend of juggling and outrageous humor; and Vivace -the Festival’s very own acappella singing group.
Returning favorites include the ever-popular Puke and Snot performing comical antics on the Pirates Ship Stage; Mud Rumpus providing good, filthy fun renditions of Faust and Shakespeare in the mud; and the amazing and amusing Rick Stratton Hypnotist Show offered two times daily. For the athletic-at-heart, a climbing wall features five levels of difficulty to “hang” around the Festival.
Festival-goers will enjoy a 16th century marketplace filled with over 200 artisans and food fit for a king, plus seven stages offering 60 acts daily. Children delight in the free petting farm, face painting, hair braiding, and rides such as the giant swing and Leonardo de Vinci’s Flying Machine.
Adult admission is $14.95 with discount coupons available at Total/Diamond Shamrock and Wendy’s Stores throughout the Front Range and Colorado Springs. Opening weekend (June 8,9) offers “2 for 1” coupons at all participating Wendy’s locations. Discount Tickets are available at all King Soopers locations. Children 5-12 are $7, and children under 5 are free.
